Commercial Insurance
Changes occur daily in the insurance world. This information is provided as a general guideline. Network status determination is ultimately the responsibility of the policy holder, as well as understanding HMO vs PPO plans. We will assist in giving guidance, but for the most up to date and accurate information you must contact your insurance payer directly.
We accept most major insurance plans, especially if you are insured through an employer. Those plans include the following: Aetna, BCBS, Cigna, United Healthcare.
We Do Not Accept
(there are more, but these are most common)
Government Issued Plans
We do not accept government issued plans such as Medicaid, Medicare, or Tricare, including managed care plans through Medicaid (primary or secondary).
We do not accept healthshares as a form of payment. Healthshares are not insurance plans. Patients who use healthshares are considered selfpay, must pay in full at the time of service, and may file for reimbursement from the healthshare directly at their discretion.
We do NOT accept Humana, Curative, Oscar HMO, or Aetna CVS HEALTH.
Newborns
For newborns, we require the mothers insurance information to be on file. As a convenience to you, we hold newborn claims for 30 days before filing. Most insurances allow 30 days to get the baby added to the policy. If this task is not complete within those 30 days you are at risk of not having coverage until open enrollment. If the newborn was not added to the plan within time limits, they will be considered self pay and billed for previous visits. We do send reminders of this information at 2 weeks old.
